You just won a $100,000 shopping spree to one independent car dealer! Rules are, since the cash is prize money, the dealers will not budge on list price. Pick one USED Car Dealership within your area (under 50 miles away). Theres no limit (minimum 3 vehicles) on your garage, but you must use their current inventory while using as much of the $100k prize money as you can because they will NOT let you keep what you do not use of it! All vehicles must be on the same dealer lot (even if the dealer has multiple locations within your area).

I’ll participate on this one, just because the last car is the one I wanted to share to Oppo. Everything else I was suprised to find! This dealer and one other must be where the used Aston Martins, Bentleys, and Maseratis come from (since we don’t have any dealers in the state).

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! with 12,564 for $49,950. Wish it were the GTS though. Plus, I would rather have the Jaguar XJL Supercharged that is at the other location, but gotta play by the rules.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

This !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! with 47,878 miles for $34,950. I’m surprised the second owner didn’t get to the lift and wheels. Fine with me though since it’s RWD with the 5.3L (I love RWD trucks when you know you won’t ever exploit their capabilities).

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

This !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! with 39,025 miles for $9,950. That’s the year these guys got the awesome 4.5L V8 (200hp, 270lb-ft) which has the same reliability as a current NA engine. Its FWD, which makes it feel plenty quick and Also one of the most stealth convertible designs ever made. Of course what else would you expect from a car built in Turin, Italy which was designed by Pininfarina.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I just made up this post to share this Allante. There was an episode of Married...With Children where the character Kelly Bundy (Christina Applegate) develops the “Bundy Bounce” to when the task of being the model that reveals the new Allante!

The 996 Turbo is the greatest Porsche gem on the market right now!

$100k USD == $126,850 CAD

Dealer: http://www.steelepremium.com/

$51,987 - Track toy: 2009 Cayman S (PDK)

$34,990 - Top down fun: 2006 Boxster S (Manual)

$39,999 - DD / because wagon / Swedishbrick: 2015 Volvo V60

That leaves me with.. well, I’m over by $126, but I think I can manage that out of pocket. If that doesn’t count, then instead of the Swedishbrick, I’ll go with another German and take the 2013 Merc GLK250 diesel for $34,990.

To be honest, I was expecting a diesel Cayenne to complete your Porsche garage. Still awesome though!

Indeed. That price is normally CP, but considering that one is basically brand new...

Cayenne was my first thought, but they didn’t have any in inventory under $70k, and I didn’t want to sacrifice one of the 987s. :)

You’ll get that money back as everyone realizes that the Turbo was the only version without the issues of all the other 996s.

Very true. I want a 996, but I have no room for one right now. A Carrera would suffice for 90% of the driving I like to do, unless I decide I never want to get married or something, in which case I’d get a Turbo.

2011 Saab 9-5 XWD V6 Aero - $13,983

Amazing condition, one of my dream cars, 112K miles, if I had the budget I’d be there right now getting my first ‘Saab’.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Kinja'd!!!

1990 Saab 900 manual - $16,994

Once you get past the fact that this 26 year old Saab has 158K miles and costs more than the 9-5, you may ask what sort of crack the dealership pricing manager is smoking and then choose this 900 because hey, it ain’t my $100K.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Kinja'd!!!

2011 Saab 9-3 Turbo4 manual - $11,594

Another Saab!? Yes, but this one is much more reasonably priced (for a dealer) and has 78K miles and a manual.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Kinja'd!!!

2015 Volvo V60 T5 - $31,784

Look, something different! No, it’s a Volvo wagon. Predictable, considering me. 9K miles though.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Kinja'd!!!

2013 Jaguar XF Portfolio - $26,784

Ahhh, a big Brit to round out the lot of Swedish cars, 34K miles hopefully means the dark prince of Lucas has managed to escape and it’ll be (mostly) reliable ;)

Total: $101,139

I’m sure we can talk some of those prices down, they’re neither German nor Infinitis, so their value to the dealer is likely inherently lower.

10/10 totally would do the same. See my post above, a little Saab-heavy but I do like getting more for my money, literally. It would be so awesome to get to go out and drive a different car every day of the week, especially if they’re all as diverse as this!

100k usd = 670K DKK

Now this is going to be a little weird due to taxation on new cars (100K USD would buy you a base 5 series or good 3 series by comparison), so Im going with the local classic dealership to avoid posting Fiestas and Cruzes all over.

Volvo P1800 ES - I would have preferred a green with a different interior but I can’t pass up my favourite car of all time. About 26.000 USD

Kinja'd!!!

Audi S2 coupe quattro - Absolutely lovely little car, not an ur-Quattro but a clean and rust free example, but with a price to match. About 36.000 USD.

Kinja'd!!!

BMW 2002 - A regular 2002 rebuilt and retitled as a 2002 tim. Still on original 1973 plates which are no longer obtainable (but legal provided they’ve always been on the car). About 19.000 USD.

Kinja'd!!!

Mazda MX-5 - The answer is always.... and it complements my existing Mazda 6 wagon quite nicely. This may seem like an absurd price, but a crappy one would go for about half of this, and you wouldn’t save that much by picking up a privately listed, and less well maintained example. About 19.000 USD.
